How to set up a keyboard on PS5 consoles 

Want a faster way to enter text? Connect your USB or Bluetooth® keyboard to your PS5™ console. 

  1. Go to the home screen and select Settings > Accessories
  2. Select Other Accessories to find the following settings for your keyboard: 

Select a keyboard language
Some languages have multiple input methods. 

Key Repeat (Delay)
Select how long it takes for a character to start repeating when you press and hold the corresponding key. 

Key Repeat (Rate)
Select how fast a character repeats when you press and hold the corresponding key. 

  • For information about device compatibility and use, refer to the instructions included with your device. Not all devices work with your console. 
  • You can also configure these settings by selecting Accessories in the control center.

How to set up a mouse on PS5 consoles

Select items on your screen with ease by using your USB or Bluetooth® mouse with your PS5 console.

  1. Go to Settings > Accessories.
  2. Select Other Accessories to find the following settings for your mouse:

Type
Select left-handed or right-handed use.

Pointer Speed
Select how fast the pointer moves.

  • For information about device compatibility and use, refer to the instructions included with your device. Not all devices work with your console.
  • You can also select Accessories from the control center to change these settings.

How to pair a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse with your PS5 console

  1. Turn on pairing mode on your device.
    Refer to your device’s instruction manual for details on pairing.
  2. On your PS5 console, go to the home screen and select Settings > Accessories > General > Bluetooth Accessories.
    Your console searches for nearby Bluetooth® devices. A list of registered and found accessories appears.
    Devices not compatible with your PS5 console may also appear.
  3. Select the device you want to pair.
    When you successfully pair your device, the list of accessories appears. Your device displays under Registered accessories. The user and Connected appear to the right.
  • The next time you use your Bluetooth® device, it automatically connects to your PS5 console when they're both turned on.
  • If it doesn't automatically connect, go to Registered accessories, select your device, and then select Connect.
